The Wood Peddler was founded in 1979 by North County Rancher, Dennis Lindshield. As many things go in life, our company was born out of necessity rather than inspiration. By late 1979 the Avocado Industry had crashed and many farmers were forced to watch their groves die because irrigation was too expensive. Faced with acres of dead trees Dad had an idea, cut them down and sell the wood. That's why dad remains "The Wood Peddler" today.

Since our humble beginnings over 25 years ago we have grown into one of the premier Firewood Dealers serving San Diego County. We are excited to begin offering our services on the Internet and wish to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of our many loyal customers.
